ManiCURE & PEDICURE course

Course Description

This mani and pedi course covers nail and cuticle preparation, exfoliation, hand/foot massage, mask application, heated mitts, hot oil and paraffin wax application, French and dark polish and male client adaptations. Skin and nail diseases are detailed for the hands and feet as well as the correct way to carry out a thorough consultation. Please note you will need to provide a model for your practical session, they must not be wearing any artificial gel or acrylic on their nails.

Qualification

GTI Award in Manicure + Pedicure Treatments. This is industry recognised and fully accredited by the Guild of Beauty Therapists. This will allow you to gain insurance and practice as a fully qualified Manicure & Pedicure nail technician.

Pre-requisites

You must have completed the GTI Professional Standards course online, prior to any practical course with the Guild. This course comes complementary when purchasing a practical subject.

Theory and practical

Theory Hours

Approximately 12 hours of online flexible study time will be required to complete the theory element of this course, before your practical session.

Practical hours

One day course - 10am-6pm approx. In addition to this you will be expected to practise manicure and pedicure treatments on your friends and family for as many hours as you require ensuring you are confident and improve your timings.
